I am obsessed with Eric Fischl's series of paintings titled, "The Bed, the Chair...." In fact, I'm writing a series of poems loosely based on the paintings. I've been previously obsessed with Fischl's work. I wrote, and published in Copper Nickel, a poem titled, "Tumbling Woman" which came out of Fischl's sculpture of the same name.
The above painting is titled, "The Bed, the Chair, Changing."

This painting is used as the cover of Jeffrey Skinner's collection Gender Studie --a book I own. It really is a memorable painting; especially since most cover's I so easily forget.
