I used to design illusions with this guy... and drink beer. One of my best buddies ever. He's gonna make it big... you'll see him all over the country soon enough.

- Gary L. McDowell
- I'm 29. I split my time between Waukegan, IL and Kalamazoo, MI with my beautiful wife, Mandy, and our amazing son, Auden. I'm a Doctoral Associate at Western Michigan University where I teach Advanced Poetry Writing. I have a BA in English from Northern Illinois University and an MFA in Poetry from Bowling Green State University. I am the author of two chapbooks, They Speak of Fruit (Copper Dillon Books, 2009) and The Blueprint (Pudding House, 2005) and the co-editor of The Rose Metal Press Field Guide to Prose Poetry: Contemporary Poets in Discussion and Practice (Rose Metal Press, 2010).
