A lot going on here (though not much po-biz news... well, some). I haven't posted at all this month! Shame on me. I resolve to post more frequently this new year. Maybe I'll even stop merely journaling and post some theoretical, poetry-related stuff.
[I've had a few beers. I'm inarticulate at the moment.]
M and I have been going through some tough stuff. Things are okay (as in we're together and working hard), but it's been a trying six weeks. No one wants to hear this. I'll stop.
Fall semester wrapped up beautifully. My kids did a great job on their portfolios and I managed to get all A's. This coming semester will be good. Not too challenging content-wise, but time-wise will be a different matter. Next fall will be the real tester. 3 lit classes! I cringe in horror at the thought of it. But I'll be ready.
Christmas was good. Lots of nice gifts, some quality time with family, and some good food. Some drama too, but nothing too crazy.
Some great, great news today. Colorado Review took a poem today. It's one of my newer poems (e.g. it's not in my manuscript). I am thrilled.
Recent po-biz stuff: a poem forthcoming in the inaugural issue of Anti-. An interview I did with F. Daniel Rzicznek (author of Neck of the World, my favorite book of 2007... a close second is Peter Gizzi's Outernationale) in Boxcar Poetry Review will be out sometime early in 2008.
Okay, time for some more beer. More updates to follow. I hope everyone out there is doing well. Miss you guys!
Happy New Year!!
